went out today for a few hrs didnt see much then a small game guy came thru down low no biggie then some knucklehead comes crashing thru the woods stops about a 100yrds away and starts building a ground blind.the gun season starts 3 days from now.I whistled at him ,nothing he just kept making noise .i packed up and left.i didnt want to get into it with him after all its public land. What irks me is any real hunter knows its too late in the season to start making blinds and crashing blindly thru the woods.I drove to check on another spot and saw a flock of bearded turkeys crossing the road that got the blood pumping .im gonna go back tomorrow and try to find them.maybe ill leave the guy a present in his blind

I hate crap like that, had a place in the Catskills and the day before opening day they all showed up shooting guns and in the woods scouting and setting up blinds-nuts!

Every once in a while I think it would be nice if ya could just slap down people like that. Just a good ole pregnant dog slapping! People have no shame and no respect.

went today for a few hours since its the last day before gun season.i was on stand and saw a nice redtailed hawk then i hear heavy steps.i get ready and i see a HUGE BLACK BEAR moving fast 80 yrds below me.wow that was an amazing feeling then he moved around and came up the hill to my right again 80yrds.no way i could take any shots.it was exciting to see him.then later in the day i saw a doe hanging around feeding.i tried to call her in with the can no go then i used my grunt tube and she took off like her butt was on fire and her head was catching..then it started to rain i packed it in.supposed to pour all day heavy, high winds too.I'll be back before dawn sunday with the 30/30 waiting..I took the moral high ground and left the guys makeshift blind alone.maybe ill sit in it sunday
