First archery buck. 7 point taken at 8 15 am today 11/6/08. They were moving by me. I missed a 8 earlier today, but we wont talk about that. Couldn't have been more unprepared or flustered for that guy.

Kpkot, You the man! Nice buck, I have found that the best kills I have made happen in a matter of seconds. You have no time to think and you just react. My PY buck gave me about 7 seconds before I saw him and when the arrow blew thru his heart. The big one I missed last weekend I could of made a 1/2 hunting show out of.lol Really I saw him for a good 10 minutes before the shot. Great buck for you and nice meat Burt

My buddy matt shot his first buck and first archery deer as well this year on tuesday around 1:30. This guy came in bedded 20 yds got up and he stuck him. We tracked him for about 400 yds even though he hit a lung. Eventually the deer slid down a ravine and died in the creekbed. The best part was dragging him out...Thats my favorite.

SO did he use the rooftop stand too? I see the streetlights in the background. Was the deer frozen by the light and he shot him? LMAO - Thats great you both harvested your first archery bucks. Welcome to the club fellas!!!!
