Shot a real beauty of a 9 pointer this morning. Stopped at the DEC check station and they weighed it and aged it.
175 lbs.....4.5 years old
Will post pics and story later if I can figure out the picture posting thing.

Got in the stand at 6:30 this morning and sat without seeing anything. At 9:00 I looked down at my scope and noticed that the front scope ring was cracked and the scope was jacked up slightly on the dovetail. I sighted some knotholes on trees with the iron sights and compared it to the scope. They appeared to be aiming in the same spot so I figure it was alright. That explains why I had to adjust my scope this year after 15 years of not touching it. Anyway, as I was messing with the scope I hear , crunch ,crunch...then again, then again........This went on for about 5 minutes and I was just about sure it was a chipmunk. Finally I see something move and see a deer sneaking thru the thick stuff . It raises it head and I realize it it a real nice buck. I picked an opening. put the scope on the opening and when he stepped into it, Bam!!!....He ran 30 yards and crashed....I guess the scope was ok.. Here's the pics if they work. It is a 9 point ..DEC says it is 4.5 years old, 175 lbs dressed   |

Thanks guy's....I havent been out since cause I had to work the last 3 days... Will be out for the next 4 days looking for does but tomorrow looks in question as it doesnt look too good weather wise.
