Our season went out May 1 and I had a great season. Killed 3 nice mature Birds and called up 3 that were killed by others. The best hunt was with my 12 yr old grandson which killed his first gobbler. 19 lbs, 10.5" beard and 1" spurs. For about 18 years use to hunt the South Western Tier with buddies that have camps in that area (Jasper-Greenwood and Canasteo). Had a ball but age caught up with me hunting those hills..

You are right fasteddie-------------Sand and plenty of it. Flat land hunting will ruin you and you can hear a gobbler down here for over a mile due to that. I still love to hunt them in NY when I get the chance.
