Put some miles on my feet today. Even had my lab with me, but we came up with zilch. Saw between 30-40 deer. Didn't see any bucks that were still holding though. There were a few other fellas at one spot doing the same as me, looking for sheds. Some places can get really competative.

That's an unbelievable collection! I made $6 off a box of about 50 at my garage sale few years back when I got divorced. Probably shouldn't quit my day job yet huh? Maybe just call in sick today! I'd never sell another shed again, they're like my adopted children to me now! Spent 6 hrs trudging through the snow again yesterday- didn't get to bring anything home with me.

My record is 54,thought I might have a shot at it but the sheds have really slowed down.I guess between my competiton and myself we have most of them cleaned up in the areas I'm searching. You know me I'll keep hiking until the green-up in May,so who knows might just get luck and set a new record.

Shed where abouts you from? Hehehe, see that ball of sheds in his avator... he aint tellin! lol Well hit the trails again this morning. Finally getting a meltdown here and decided to backtrack some grounds that have been checked more than once but were covered up in snow. Been walking all over top of these guys for some time now. #1 a small 3pt #2 another 3 pt that could have passed for #1's match but it was the same side lol. bet they have the same daddy #3 a 4pt back in the woods on a trail to the clover field. Still got some snow on the north slopes. Back at it this afternoon and tomorrow. ;D got some right hand sides to find yet!

Thanx Chris, fortunately for myself my bootprints have been the only set in the woods all winter long. Couple skiers and snoeshoers but no major competition to speak of other than the squirrels. Got a load of them and I'm always looking extra close when I see one that may be hoaning his nut cutters on a bone! Hasn't happened yet but stranger things have happened in the shed woods and not too much that surprises me anymore! lol I have found a base and three inches of a main beam in the crotch of a hollowed out tree before soooooo? ? Good luck to ya too.

Man your luck Matt, not to have a lot of competitors in the area your hiking.I've been lucky enough this year to find 4 antlers with boot tracks between 12"to 24"away where they missed them melting out of the snow when they went threw.
You know I do the samething whenever I see a squirrel,I'll always walk over to the area where I see one.So far in 20 years of hiking I've never found one by a squirrel, but like you said you just never know.
Just found my 44th antler today so looks like my record might just be in reach.
Good luck next hike!
