Looks like we got a perfect snowfall and perfect timing for Saturday..Got about 5 inches where I hunt . Going to be cold Saturday with 2 day old snow. Going to a spot where I saw tons of tracks last Saturday In some real thick and nasty stuff. Should be interesting . Supposed to get real nasty Saturday night with heavy snow and wind Saturday night and Sunday...Looks like Saturday will be it for me...Clean the guns on Sunday...
Good luck Everyone...

Guys, Just got back from camp. Left before the snow started in Howard. I did go out and get a gun Traditions premier nice gun shoots great. Cold on Friday and Saturday saw lots of tracks and road hunters, they even have the nerve to turn around in my driveway! The deer were really hitting the winter wheat in my fields but we only saw one doe. I saw her this afternoon and let her walk only to have my neighbor shoot her ten minutes later. Oh well, good meat! The guns will get cleaned and I need a shower! Burt

I was sitting in a ground blind yesterday am for 4 hours . Saw a fox and that was it . It was cold even while being partially sheltered from the wind. I didn't hunt in the afternoon . We were at a friend's house after church this morning on Clevenger Road for Brunch . Saw a doe out back about 80 yards pawing for apples .

Went out for the last time today...Saw nothing. Lots of tracks but they were moving last night after the storm. Looking foward to shed hunting and turkey in the spring though... Not too far off when you think about it.
