Howdy, yall. Well, I took my bow out of the basement the other day, less than 2 months left to NZ season. My old set up was with 2315 arrows and a 125 grain Muzzy 3-blade. I took my bow to the shop, and got some carbon Beaman ICS hunters, a new whisper buscuit, dropped my broadhead to 100 grain, and started shooting. Wow, what a difference. My bow is set at 65 lbs, and my aluminum arrows used to shoot about 210 fps. Now the carbons are like 245-250 fps. I couldn't believe the rainbow-like trajectories I used to shoot. I am REALLY looking forward to this season. Anyone else getting really pumped?

Oh yeah...I'm getting pumped...I am keeping the same set up I had for the past couple seasons. I own a Pearson Spoiler Lite compound set at 70 lbs. I shoot Easton Carbon Arrows with 100 grain mechanicals off of a drop away rest. So far so good with this set up...No deer harvested in the past two seasons but I haven't had sany shots either. This year will be different...I can feel it.

Last year was my second bow season, and I took a doe one beautiful late october afternoon. She dressed out at about 90 lbs, not nearly as big as the 140 lb flattop I took last year with BSJ. All are trophies in my opinion.
Off topic, I am on the fence as far the broadhead design. I may stay with the 3 blade muzzy, or I may look at something like the Montec

Is this Handcannon AKA "Longshot" How ya doing?? Looks like we drew one post out of BSJ anyway... I use my old Golden eagle and 125 grain Thunderheads... When I see deer , it does the job. All this talk about bow shooting and Fasteddy will be shooting out the powewr in all of WNY any time now. LOL Maybe BSJ will come back once the turkey hunting shrink releases him from his medical disability caused by this season..

Yup, Longshot, aka, Handcannon. I am going to try out some of the 100 grain Muzzy Phantoms on my carbons. I have also convinced myself to try the Luminok, seeing as i have lost a few arrows.

I am working alot, too. I don't mind putting in all the overtime, just so as I get my time off in the fall. I am working about 20 hours a week overtime...gotta pay for all them fancy toys...
Also, off topic, IF anyone remembers "Spencer," we are going on a Quebec Moose Hunt in the first week of october. This will be my first "hunting trip" (Palmyra don't count!) We drive up for a few hours, then we take a float plane to some remote lake with a cabin, and get dropped off for a week. I can't wait. I am bringing my .35 Whelen.
