Put on a drop away rest and shot 3 arrows 3 weeks ago. I didnt like the contraption and e-mailed some questions to the company that made it. No response from them so off it came and I am happy again with my simple 2 prong rest. The drop away makes a noise when it pops up and I think there are too many things that can go wrong with this gizmo.
The Keep It Simple theory fits this well.

I put a DMI Drop-Away rest on my bow a few months ago . I kind of like it . If I don't , I can always put the Whisker Biscuit back on . Which drop away did you get Bruce ?

Quicktune 2000. The problem with the thing is, the directions or any other documentation I find online do not tell you that your bow must have cable guard that is above the rest. On both my bow's, the cable guard is below. I finagled the rest to work directly off the cable and e-mailed NAP to see if they had an adapter that works directly off the cable and to find out why they dont tell you that tou must have an upper cable guard. They never replied so I am done with them.
I have found posts on other bowhunting sites where others have been screwed by the same problem. I got it for almost nothing at a Walmart closeout so no big deal.
My two prong rest shoots just fine so I will stay with that.

I bought a cheap one from walmart last year and like it. The problem I had was the arrow holder came off cuz an arrow lifted it off. I did not realize and sent it flying with the arrow. However my cable guard is above the rest. I purchased an arrow holder from cab=elas and glued it on this time and so far so good.

I have the NAP Quicktune 2000 Drop Away rest as well...No popping noises when my rest comes to full elevation...Oh well, what works for one does not always work for another...I've had good results on the range with this rest...Never shot at a deer with it yet though.

I went with the "Drop Zone" fall away rest with my new set-up. So far I love it!! Use to shoot the Bodoodle prong rest for many seasons, but decided on trying for better arrow flight with a drop away rest. The whole thing is to have it set-up right at the Archery shop!!! I also decided on trying a string loop with this rest as well. So far, thing are working out very well!!
