Even though my Hoyt is equipt with all the sound and vibration dampening goodies, I've recently noticed a twang durring the shot that baffled me to no end. Inspecting anything and everything that may have rattled loose revealed nothing. Just sitting around admiring it the other day, and that's when it hit me. Check out how close the first (actually second but I had to remove the first for picture purposes) arrow in the quiver is to that adjustment dial. Pretty close to 1/8 of an inch and that's it! That proved to be the culprit and she's wispering again at the touch of the the trigger. That spot in the quiver will never again hold a shaft on any hunt I go on! You guys ever have anything similar to that happen to your bows that had them screaming at the top of their lungs upon release, if so what was the problem?

my PSE quiver bracket was vibrating against the riser a peice of rubber gasket took care of that. my hoyt on the other hand hasn't given me any problems shooting 70lbs. with a heavy arrow and still gettin 280 FPS no twang just the thud of impact.

How many of you leave your quiver on once you get in your stand? I always shoot with it off and make sure to take it off and hang it on a bow hook up in the stand. It's just a personal preference but I'm curious. Im a newbie to bowhunting (this will be my 3rd season) and I already have a 4pt. under my belt from last year so the pressure is off.

I have a 2 piece quiver so I leave it on the bow . If I replace it , i'll probably get a 1 pc Lynx quiver ..........

I practice both with and without the quiver on...You just never know when a nice buck will happen your way when you are creeping through the woods on the way to your stand or blind site. I have a Kwikee Kwiver that I remove when I arrive at my stand...I screw a mount into the tree and the quiver mounts to that. Then I can remove a second arrow without much movement from the quiver and take that second shot if needed.
