After seeing the big boy 2 weeks ago, I have been hunting the same stand in hopes that he would come by again . Passed on this deer several times over the past 2 weeks as he checked a scrape at various times during the day. Since it is the last weekend, I decided to take him yesterday morning. He came down the same trail and stopped in my shooting lane when I grunted. Took the shot and he ran 50 yards and crashed. It is a small 7 point . Didnt get any field pictures due to camera failure but my son took some with his phone as I was skinning it. Will post them if they came out. The freezer is filling up with this one and the doe I got a couple weeks ago.
Tried to fill a doe tag this morning but saw nothing. Prepped my gun stands and am set for the opener. Hopefully the big boy will come thru next Saturday.

Nice going Bruce . Congrats . I havn't been out in a few days . Got one heck of a cold . Headache , congestion , sore throat -- you name it ! I hope to get out Wednesday for one more chance .....
