Got back from Michigan at 1:00 PM this past Saturday. Had to fix my chimney and check out another new spot of hunting land that I obtained permission for. Got ready to hunt and headed out at 2:50 PM. Made it to stand and up in at 3:15. Grunted for 3 sequences and 17 minutes later I had a great 8 point dead on the ground.
Entire hunt took 17 minutes. The weather and wind was perfect. The temp was perfect. He grunted back coming in.
Shot at 15 yards. He ran 20 yards. Stopped walked another 40 yards and fell over. Blood trail though not needed was about 4-5 feet wide.
Specs: Did not measure yet but about 16 inches wide.
Weight : 175 Lbs.
Fully responded to Grunt and was looking for the other buck. Hit was a lung shot.
He is just hy of a mounter buck and I only really say that because my buck last year was a bit bigger.
