Wow he was a bruiser. Watched him make a scrape and lick the branch. He was working that branch and ground in a big way.

I was out yesterday and had a doe fawn about 10 yards away . Wasn't about to shoot the little thing . Walked with my youngest son and showed him where the various treestands are located as it's his 1st year of hunting . We kicked a doe out of some thick stuff , walked the high grass , overgrown field and through the woods . On the way back we looked up across the wheat field and saw 5 doe about 60 yards from where our trucks were parked .
I'm still nursing a bad cold and want to be in reasonable condition Saturday when gun season opens up . Sitting out in cold damp weather doesn't help !
