If your setup works for you , don't change it . Surprised about the XX75 arrows . Don't know many folks that shoot aluminum arrows anymore .

You'd be surprised Ed - Visit archerytalk sometime. Most of the guys shoot carbon for 3d and target and use aluminum for hunting. I use aluminum 3-d target arrows for hunting and they are great. You may have seen my work in New York Game & Fish, *wink wink* LOL. Sorry I couldn't resist.

I tried the Carbons when they first came out..
Was not happy with the performance with my bow..
When and if I buy a new bow I will try them again...

I converted to Carbon arrows a few years ago and would never go back to the XX78 SuperSlams ! Alum can bend warp , etc . Carbons are either good or broken ..... no middle ground .

Oh yeah , I get bored so I periodically change my setup ( sights , arrows , rest , string suppressors , etc ) .

fdemsemt...I still shoot XX75's out of my old bow. It is a Browning wheel bow and it looks remarkably like yours. I tried the carbons out of the old bow but it was much louder than I wanted it to be. Those lighter arrows made the old bow shoot faster but I didn't like the tradeoff...So, I still keep that old bow sighted in with the XX75's just in case my newer setup goes South for some reason. I'll post a pic of my newer setup when I have a chance to take a pic.

Well I snapped a few pics of my toys tonight so I'll post them up. Here's my 2000 or 2002 ish Hoyt Ultratech. No real fancy bells and whistles, just an HHA rest and a cheapy Tru-Glo sight. Aluminum Easton X7 Eclipse arrows in 2014 with 3 inch Feather vanes with a helical twist.

Here's a pic of my primary bow: Pearson Spoiler Lite 33" A to A 70 lb draw weight HHA 3 pin site (I only use two) Limbsavers, etc. Shooting carbon arrows out of this one. Now, here is a pic of my backup Browning wheel bow: This one is set at 70 lbs as well. I shoot XX75 aluminums with this bow as the carbons made it too loud.
