what will you be shooting that in Hawkeye? Muzzleloading started here in the northern zone today. I am using my cva optima elite 29 inch barrel. I am shooting 100 grains of loose triple7 ffg and 250 grain tc shockwave with a harvertor sabot. They load well and shoot very well.

If it makes it to the woods this year it will only be on the last day of the late season for me. 95 gr. Pyrodex, behind a 240 gr. Hornady from a 50 cal. Knight. I'm still old school with the #11 caps. It's been a driver set-up for me thus far so I stopped playing with different combinations.

Got a new toy, and had to work up something that shot as good as it looked... Surprise! The TC Encore Pro Hunter shoots exactly the load they suggested about as good as it gets.... 150 grains of Triple 7 pushing that 250 grain Shockwave into small groups all the way out to 200 yards...
