I carry alot of Krap with me when I go in the woods . A friend of mine gave me an ALICE pack . I took the big bag off and attached my backpack . It's a bit heavier but alot more comfortable to carry . Those frames are neat !

I use both my Alice packs, my large for long outing and the small for short ones. I also use my webgear, it works real nice for carrying my ammo, grunt call, radio trench knife and canteen.

I'm trying to cut down on the crud I take into the woods...One of those Alice packs would just encourage me to take more...I carry my 21lb climber at times with my backpack attached to it and my jacket strapped to the backpack. I've never weighed it but I'm sure that it is topping 30 lbs when all is said and done. Include my H&R Ultraslugger and I am carrying around an extra 45 lbs.

When I put that on , it brings back memories of some of the forced marches we had to do in the Corps ! My feet hurt thinking about it .

Ya the walk out to tank hill and back 5 mile march full pac, gear and weapon. I am not up to that anymore although I think I could go farther than some yuppy with the same load.
