Saturday and Sunday it's supposed to be REALLY nice out so I'm planning on going after soma dem wascally wabbits!

Well we are supposed to get rain both days and 25 to 30 mph winds, but the temps are to be in the mid to high 40's. Would love to be out there but not sure if it's gonna happen.

No dog I don't hunt over a dog just jumping brush.We missed a couple more.It was kinda slow because of the high winds and kinda deep snow in the areas that hold the most rabbits snow was still knee deep.

thats awesome for no dog.the yotes seem to get all the little critters.i saw 1 rabbit last year and boy could it move ;D

ya the one spot I was hunting I only saw 1 set of fox tracks I'm thinking about duck hunting it to there had to have been 150 mallards that took up out of the swamp

Wow...Congrats on 8 bunnies...I'd be lucky to see just a couple where I hunt...Coyotes and fox population keep the rabbits in check...Almost too in check.

Went out for rabbits this afternoon....Kicked up 5. This place is loaded with the buggers....I guess I am a little rusty...missed all 5!!! I havnt hunted rabbits since my beagle died....It was nice to get out and get some excercise....Makes me want to get another beagle, but I dont think the wife will go for it...
Heading to a New years party in a couple minutes....Hope I can get up in the morning and try again with some fresh snow that's supposed to come tonight..
Congrats on the 8 bunnies.

Didnt get any snow last night as they predicted...Went out at 9:30 trying to get a couple hours in before the Sabres game. Hunted for 2 hours, kicked up 2 and missed 2...Arrggggggg.
I am shooting my Browniing semi auto 12 gauge to try and use up some assorted old shells and take the Browning for a long awaited walk.....One more trip should do it. Then I will switch to my Remington 870 20 gauge and the bunnies will start to roll.

Have had a nasty cold since new years but had to drag myself out for some fresh air this morning. Took the Browning again with about 8 more odd ball shells to use up. Kicked up 2 and rolled both of them. The only trouble was, one of them was shot with an old turkey load I had laying around. Lost one rear leg on that one. Cooked them up on the grill tonite and they were great. Next ones will get saved for a big rabbit stew on a cold winters day. You guy's should get out ther, I have been really enjoyed getting out.
Had a visit from the game warden while I was there. He walked about a half mile to get to me. Checked my license and my shells to make sure I wasnt carrying any slugs. I guess they had reports of someone shooting at deer recently..
Good to see that these guy's are willing to get out of the truck and check things out. He also gave me the location of another prime rabbit spot.. Nice guy.

How funny in irony....
I got two rabbits as well plus a squirel and then went ice fishing. Was checked by DEC for license as well.
Saw a couple guys get tickets. Nice officer though.
hunting was good, fishing was a lot of perch but very small. no pike. ice was 8 inches.
