I started out here in Holland on Cazenovia creek decided to hit under some bridges first and landed a few 10-12" browns.
As more anglers began to show up later in the day all converging in on the same whole, I figured I had my fun there and it was time to move on.
That's when my ole pal Len's advice of getting to some remote pools a little off the beaten path came to mind to get on some bigger trout.
Thigs started getting better an hour into my walk downstream! And away he goes to fight again!
Wow, it worked! I didn't have a tape on me but I'm certain that fish went at least 15". Now I was on to something and plenty of time left to keep fishing. I worked the pool over with spinners, worms, and minnows untill I was confidant there were no more to be fooled in there today.
I walked another 40 minutes down stream before I came accross another likely looking pool. Not a bootprint in site!
Circling my way through the boardering woods to get on the downstream side I reached the only spot that would offer the best chance of delivering my first cast where I wanted it to land. I'd try a worm first with no weight and just let it drift naturally!
BINGO!!! The fight was on!
After making a few drag adjustments she finally surrendered and came to shore. At this point I finaly came to realise I need to buy a net! LOL
Not really much here as a good refference to the size other than it laying on my lap at this point but what a great fish it was in my book regaurdless!
A few more little one rounded out the day. Next time I may walk for 3hrs straight before wetting a line! I also need a cameraman!lol
