Wooly, Yeah- this color Rattlin' Rogue is about all I throw at them anymore. It consistantly works. These are from last night- 5/23. First shot shows the lure pretty well. The 2nd shot is the collective catch of the gang at the end of the night.

Wooly- We put ALOT of time in for 'em. It's not an easy lake to learn. I don't have any pics of the trips we get skunked!

Well if there's 2 skunkies I don't like, it's beer and days spent fishing! But hey, I deal with them both! ;D

"Three's a crowd" was my first boat. It was a 10.5 foot rowboat with a 9.9 evinrude motor. I decided to sell it after several near-death experiences made me realize it wasn't quite big enough to handle the waters I like to fish. 2 people was tight company & 3 was most definately a crowd! I bought "four's a crowd" almost 20 years ago and it still serves well today- though I've started saving towards a slightly larger boat. Whoever it is (RPR) that remembers that boat must be quite OLD! ;D Here's tonight's 'eye.....

No problem. That one is 4.5" long and has 3 trebles- blue & silver with an orange belly. Make sure you find one with the small, narrow lip. They call them both shallow-divers- the one I like has a lip about 1/4 inch wide- the other is about 1/2 inch wide. At night I'm fishing them VERY slow- most of the time right on the surface the whole retrieve. The guys I fish with have started refering to this rogue as the "hollywood" as it's the only one I use anymore. Good luck- let me know how you do. File the hooks needle-sharp as the slow retrieve doesn't give you the hook-up you get with a faster one.

Thanks a bunch Hollywood!!! I checked the dealer finder and it appears that Gander mtn has them. So , I guess I will be stopping tomorrow night. A guy told me he got some nice ones from shore in this spot using a 7" senko on a worm harness dont remember the color. I guess you could use a real worm.... He said the same thing, slow, slow retrieve.
Thanks again and hope ya get a bunch more.

Good luck with the rogue- let me know how they work out your way. I've been out a couple more times- it was raining or threatening to so no pics. I got out 6 times total, 3 twice, 2 twice & 1 twice. It's the time of year where I go when the bite is from 3:30 am til dawn. Guess I'm just getting old as I just don't feel like staying out that late or getting up that early anymore. Time to start hitting Oneida. They don't photograph as well....but they sure taste better than the alewife fed ones!
