anybody know of some decent shore spots to do some fishing in this area?ill be up that way come late august figured id bring the rods.

Check out Taughannock Park on the west shore about 10 miles N of Ithaca. You can cast into over 120 fow from shore there( Lake Trout). Late august might be tough sledding from shore.

Headed up to Taughannock tomorrow with my neighbor - 1st time out with his boat this year so we thought we'd do some pan fishing tomorrow and hope a few bass swim by. I'll post how we did tomorrow night.

Well had a beautiful day on the lake today but man it sure was hot once the haze lifted. We just fished around some known weed beds near Miliken Station and a fwe spots up above there. Also hit a few pockets above and below the park. All 3 of us caught double digits of perch all day long with 3 sunnys and a rock bass mixed in. Saw a dozen golden logs float past (aka carp) but they were in the shallows and headed someplace other than near our bait. Was a great day all in all and sure beats a good day at work.

I heard it was killing the bass all over from a buddy that fishes tournaments in all the finger lakes and lake Ontario tributaries
