Wow-I knew bow season was shorter and gun would open early but I can't remember how long it's been that opening day comes so early. It's a good week and a half until thanksgiving!
This is going to be a real interesting year, I hope DEC did not blow the season for all of us just seems we need a bigger voice in Albany someone who really represents hunters and understands
what NY really could do to change around hunting opportunities in this state. The Saturday opener was good but that is just a pimple on a bull's #ss as far as what they really could do with our season's!

Wow...I hadn't looked at the season dates until just now...Southern Zone Gun Opener on 11/15...Heck, there probably won't even be any snow on the ground then. It is too bad that archery is so short this year...Truly a sad state of affairs.  |

actually it may work out for me .Im gonna try to use last years tags for the early northern zone bow then some duck then the southern zone bow

can i use my black powder to hunt deer when it is big game season in new york state

Joe,
I believe you can. I know guys that still use the bow during regular season! I have hunted many times with people using black powder during reg season.

as long as its legal to shoot a muzzloader in that area you hunt you can use it

You can bowhunt during gun season . I use the shotgun opening day and then take the muzzle-loader out the rest of the time as it is more fun to shoot !
