Well early muzzleloading has come to an end for me. Regular/rifle starts tomorrow morning. I did not have any more luck during my week off, and did get some things done here around the house. When I got home this evening from my watch, I was going to put the sidekick away and get out the encore 7-08. I looked at the stuff and said know what, the sidekick worked well last weekend, so I am going to take it tomorrow. I have a friend coming in tonight to hunt the weekend. I go back to work monday morning and I must say the time I have spent in my sanctuary, the woods, and with my friends sure has rejuvenated me to go back. I feel my head is much clearer and feel an inner peace I have not in a few years. I look forward to looking for a nice buck and putting the hammer on him with the muzzleloader. Best of luck to all of you.

well it was a pretty uneventful weekend of hunting. Yesterday we had does and fawns all over the place, but no permits. Last evening, we got together at a buddy's place. He has a small building in his yard thst is his camp. Pretty well set up. We cooked venison, fried potatoes and onions mushrooms and peppers. We ate until we were ready to explode, then played pitch. What a great evening of fun and frolic. I am back to work today after a nice vacation. I will be limited to weekends and after work until the time changes. I am actually looking forward to going back in today.
