Guys, Last weekend we found out that some of the stuff we leave on our porch was stolen. A couple of chairs and a old wood burning stove that didn't even work, we had it out there as a place to plop your beer it looked cool out there. I know will be installing motion lights around the cabin. My question to you guys is what other precautions do you take when you leave camp? Of course nothing will be left on the porch anymore! Thanks!

Lock the camp up and leave nothing of value there.
My place in the Adirondacks has been broke in 3 or 4 times. Nothing of value was taken because I leave nothing of value there.
correction : I lost a Hudson Bay blanket. My fault shouldn't have left it at camp.

Thanks CJ, other than appliances (can't take them with me) there really isn't anything of value. .

After having our camp broken into several times, windows smashed, doors busted, we finally decided to just leave the doors open for a few years. It seemed to take the "thrill" out of seeing what was inside as there was nothing of value left there. They sprayed their grafitti all over and didn't break anything else and that was that. Haven't had any issues in the last 4 years and we have been locking it up ever since.
