The "paint job" was compliments of a Rage 2 Expandable . It blew right through both lungs . When i started to move him , more blood bubbled out . I didn't have anything to clean the blood off for a nice picture .............

It was raining all during the drive to my sister in laws opening morning Nov 15 . I setup my chair blind at 6 am . It's pretty cramped in that thing and I was still getting wet . Didn't hear much of any shooting during the morning . Saw NOTHING !About noon I headed up to my truck to have some coffee and granola bar . On the way back I grabbed my tent blind and set that in place of the chair blind . Much more comfortable . Around 2 pm , I saw a doe and two fawns at the far end of the field about 300 yards away . The doe was working her way towards my direction . As she got closer she looked in my direction . I had that blind tucked into the hedge row under a tree with some brush in front . Anyway she kept approaching slowly then started to wander away from me . I stuck my Winchester 1200 out the window . aimed , squeezed . She ran off hunkered down so I knew I had a good hit . The fawns ran in the same direction . I only saw two deer come out the other side of the hedgerow and run across the neighbor's pasture lot .She was a good size doe ! Here are some pics ........    |

My freezer arrived at Sears in Irondiquoit so I am leaving to pick it up in little bit . Now I can return to hunting . My plan is to hunt with my oldest son in South Bristol Saturday and with my youngest son in Geneseo Sunday ! I'll take the 50 cal NEF in-line with me .......

Hunted with my youngest son today in Geneseo . I had left the blind that I shot the doe from there so I was good to go . Helped Nick set his blind up and then got ready . I saw two doe to the East of me arounf 7:10 am . Watched them for about 15 minutes . Couldn't shoot as the horse barn was behind the deer and I wasn't going to take any chances .
We got out of the blinds around 10 am and walked down through some thick stuff hoping to kick something out . The overgrown pond field and woods was like a swamp . Walked up th the trucks . Had some coffee and food and went back to the blinds . My son thought he saw deer movement around 4:30 and checked it out . He took down his blind and we left .
It was a cold dismal day !

I hunted in Geneseo again today . I was in the tent blind by 6:15 am . Didn't see a thing all morning . Went up to my truck at noon . Had some coffee and a granola bar . Walked around some to get some circulation going . Saw a fox ......... Never saw anty deer until about 4 pm . There was 7 of them at the north end of the field abot 350 - 400 yards away . They were feeding for quite a while . Herad a shot East of them and they became alert . After a couple minutes , they took of . Had another doe come into the same area from the direction of where I heard the shot . I had the NEF Huntsman 50 cal with me but I wasn't going to try any long distance shot !  |

I tried an afternoon hunt on some properties close by a few days ago . Didn't see anything either time .
Went back to Geneseo yesterday and sat in a chair blind 400 yards north of where I was the other day and about 100 yards west of where they had come out of the thick stuff . Sat there from almost 1 pm to almost 5 pm . SAW NOTHING ! When I got out of the chair blind , I felt like a cripple !
