Howdy all, It's been awhile since I have been around or posted in here, my personal life has kinda dictated things lately. Anyways...................... I was able to get out on the opener of the North Muzzleloader and bagged this nice flathead on the first afternoon. I let 18 other deer walk before I took this one, I saw 5 more before I had this one out and back to the house that day. I had my boy with me as well, he got quit the education on tracking this one. She was on the edge of a mowed field 136 yds away when I shot, she buckled and turned into the high unmowed field and goldenrods, for about 10yds then straight into the planted pines with 2 decades of pine needle floor. I was not worried at all, I knew I had a good solid hit and by the look of the blood spray and lung material on the ground and foliage, she was not far away. I was right, she went @ 40yds. The Knight lead hollow pts & 90grs of pyrodex worked nicely, 1/2" entry wound....................2.5" exit. Double lunger & liver. Good luck to the rest of you guys. FDXX75

Congrats on a fine deer. Nothing better than sharing it with your son I'm sure. Can't wait for my little guy to grow up and be out there with me. He's 2.5 yrs old.
