I got myself a 2008 bowtech gereal this year and i love it. it is super quiet and very smooth. my general has the roller guard and the short stop on it. i put an apex nitrus sight with light and an octane hostage arrow rest. i use carbon beman isc hunter 340gr arrows. i use a one piece three arrow quiver. i also threw a pair of string leeches on there, you dont need them but i like the way they look. for anyone looking to get a new bow i would give the bowtech general a try. i have shot a lot of bows and i feel bowtech along with diamond which is made by bowtech is one of the best if not the best bows out there.
hey guys what kind of bow do you have? are you happy with it? when do you plan on buying your next bow?

I hunted with a Parker Phoenix EZ Draw for a couple years . It felt good and is an excellent bow . I won a Ben Pearson TX-4 bow last spring and hunted with that this season . Shot a 6 point at 35 yards with it . I have a Tru-Glo Range Rover sight and a Trophy Ridge Drop Zone rest . Shooting 27" Arrow Dynamics Nitro Stingers with a Rage 2 expandable blades . The draw length is 28" but I am shooting 27" arrows . 60# . My Parker is set at 70# . Bohning Lynx 6 arrow quiver .............

i have a 30inch draw on my bow and it is set to 60lbs. i been thinking about bring it up to 65lbs. my bow last year was set to 70lbs on most days i would pull it back without a problem but on those really cold days i couldnt, do to an injury to my left shoulder. but my bow last year was no where as smooth as the bowtech general. i had a bushmaster pro made by bear. its a great starter bow and used it for my first few seasons. my brother got into hunting this year so i gave it to him and got myself an new bow. he loves it and doesnt want to use anything else. its interesting to see what kind of bow people preffer. you hear so much about different bows.

yeah joel thats not a bad deal. i got my general a month old off a guy who didnt want it anymore. i got it fully loaded with arrows and a case for $600.00 i sold whatever i didnt like on it on eBay and put my own accessories that i had on it, i always keep extra accessories around because you never know when you'll need something. with the stuff i sold that i didnt like i made back over $200.00 so i got a pretty good deal.

a bare bowtech general off the shelf goes for $800.00 plus tax so im glad i got to save a few dollars. wow i just saw on google that a bowtech black knight reaches speeds of 350fps. thats pretty impresive.

the only thing i would change next season would be an upgrade to winners choice strings and cables. i hear a lot of good things about them and would deffinitly look into the investment. after saving so much on the bow why not.
