I shoot a 2000 Hoyt Ultratech. Have used it for 6 seasons now and the price was just right - Free. I worked with a guy that I talked hunting with all the time. He bought a new bow and asked if I was still interested in getting into bow hunting. I said yes and he gave me the bow and some arrows. I bought everything else. The only thing he said to me was when I bought a new bow, pass it on to someone else and get them hooked. Don't know when I will get a new one but I will be sure to keep my word and pass it on. Here's a link to another thread on here on bows with pictures. nydeer.proboards43.com/index.cgi?board=bow&action=display&thread=191

thats a great deal, and that was very nice of him. the only thing i dont understand about hoyt is why they have such a short brace height. i hate getting wacked in the arm with the strings. my bowtech general has an 8 1/4" brace height. the hoyts are 7" and under very hard to find a hoyt with more then a 7" brace height.

I believe you can only use a crossbow if you are disabled in NYS but I am not 100% on this.

only if you are totally disabled can you use a crossbow.you have to blow through a tube to shoot it so im thinking quadriplegic disabled .
