No --- not the engine , the impeller . I have had the thing for about 10 years and the impeller has frozen up twice this winter . I cleared the driveway this am , no problem . When I went out to clear again at 7 pm , the impeller was froze and would stall the engine when engaged . Started it up , threw on a container of how water and voila , it unfroze the impeller . After that , I figured I should move my wifes beer from the garage !

Wow...Never had that happen to me. But, I wouldn't be without a snowblower, that's for sure.

I haven't had one for over 7 years now. I don't own a plow or a snow shovel either.

I think you should drink all your wife's beer and when it comes time to water your horse, thaw the snowblower!!! ;D ;D

Started it up , threw on a container of how water and voila , it unfroze the impeller . Ya know hot water freezes faster than cold water? True! Take it from a plumber, it's a trade secret few know nothing about. You may have done best to just de-thaw the sucka with a heater and let it melt down instead of adding ice to the igloo.
