just got my new boat regi so i m heading up to a little lake where i keep it to tag it .since im going i figure might as well try my luck for some pre spawn crappies.hope they're biting.gonna try from noon on hopefully the wind wont be too bad calling for a wnw 10-20mph

Sounds like a good enough reason to wet a line while your there! I never had much luck with any sizer paperlips so I usually toss them back unless they're part of a mixed bag panfish shore lunch. Hope ya get on some slabs to chew on!

Well they were biting great thru the ice last weekend. Had close to 20 inches of ice for my annual ice fishing party. Went back to camp lastnight and have some open water already. I can't believe how fast the ice is going out. I was hoping to get back out there again before it left - but I think I'll wait to get the boat in. Good luck Joel.

Thanks Joel, Erussel - nope they weren't from Long pond. They were from a private lake. Can't wait for the ice to go out now so I can get my boat in.
