How are the flutes cut for the splicing?? Do you have a machine that cuts them??
Looks like the raw stock in one of the pics is square. Are you turning them down on a lathe??
Looks like a very interesting hobby. It would be great to shoot a deer with your own creation...Good job!!

My son is making these . I wouldn't have the patience . As for the splicing . They are hand planed and sanded to make them round . The splices look like the type of design on pool cue shafts . Matt (my son) used some deer antler in a few of the self nocks and they came out great . His next step is to cut his own fletching feathers . He bought a Feather Burner for that .

Yes the antler nocks look very good. Looks like alot of time is going into these. They look great though.
In the first picture, there are grooves cut in the shaft for the splicing making the end of the arrow look like a +(plus) sign. How is he cutting these grooves??? The mating piece of the splice would have to perfectly match for this to come out right.
