I got over 300 pics of this Ruffed Grouse, in just a few days on this same log. They tend to use the same log every year to do their drumming on to attract their mates. Taken with a S600 homebrew trail cam then put in a GIF file.

Messed around with the speed of the gif file..

He must have seen a little lady, did a litle dance for her..

That gif thingy is perfect for that series of shots!

I hear ya on the annual thumpers, seems every turkey season I can hear a little drummer boy performing a solo from the same stump near every morning at a couple spots.
One of the few sounds I don't bother to investigate anymore. I never could catch one in the act, but just the rythem is music to my ears!
