Hi, guys. I used to post on this forum years ago. I'm back. Anyhow, I came upon some interesting information pertaining to the license fee increases. The way I read it, you will end up paying $108 for a Super Sportsman overall. DMP's are no longer free with the SS. Also, get ready for another possible hike in another year or two, and a "Conservation Tax." Here's a link to something you definitely have to see to believe! www.dec.ny.gov/docs/wildlife_pdf/cfabmin0209-pdf

Hi, Fasteddie. I did notice that also. The link I posted was the meeting minutes of the CFAB, who are also contemplating another license fee increase in another year or two. It's ridiculous!

I agree 100% Huntingfreak. The main question is-does the end justify the means? In certain areas of the state, no, in my opinion.

I think we'll lose some hunters because of the license increase.

I have to agree, Shed. The economy right now is a disaster, and, in my opinion, the timing is horrible.

I think we'll lose some hunters because of the license increase. I know we will lose some hunters...Those that purchase the license and only go once or twice just to go...They really aren't hard core and wouldn't really miss it too much...The rate hike will not bring on more revenue...There will just be fewer people giving the state the same amount of money. The difference will be that our pockets will be lighter versus previous years.
