Great picts! Good way to get pumped about the season. I have been meaning to put up mine, want to get some picts of this huge black bear on the property. He is breaking all my choke berry trees in half. Keep the picts coming! Thanks

Well just remember they are on their summer pattern so things will change. Saw a beautiful 8pt in velvet down in PA this past Friday. Largest deer I've ever seen. What a brute. I also bought a new scope for my muzzleloader and a 12V battery pack for my trailcam. Gotta love those trips to Cabelas and a side trip to an outlet mall for the wife while on vacation.

Yea coming up this past weekend on the Palisades Parkway 10 minutes over the bridge I saw a buck that was also huge. Two points were sticking out sideways! Set up the trailcam this weekend hoping to get some pictures of the bear. He is breaking every choke berry tree in half on my property. Also has snapped some pine trees. He is big probably over 400lbs. we have corn again this year so the bears will be hanging around. Maybe get myself a new fur coat!

Can't wait to see the pics of the bear. I put my cam out on Sunday August 2nd. I checked it yesterday, the 7th and I had 18 pictures on it. Only 7 of those pics had deer in them, the rest were blank. It was nice to see the spike I had many encounters with last year is now a 4pt. He has split on his right side and forked a touch on his left. He is still in velvet and his body has filled out a little too. Hope he makes it til next year so I can watch his progression. Had a few nice doe on cam as well.

That's great Zem, I'm headed up tomorrow for a week at the cabin. Will check the camera and download to my laptop. After my last vacation a month ago my neighbor called the day I got home. He said about 6 in the evening the bear showed up behind his house eating cherries off of his bing cherry tree. The bear started to break branches so he had to scare him off and only a shot gun blast in the air did it! He said the head was as big as a 5 gallon pail!

She's turning 7 on the 15th but I have to work and her friends are going on vacation so we had it a week early. I have a son who is 3.5 too. We will have to coordinate it so I'll keep watch.

Sounds good! We had a great week at the cabin, rode horses, a few camp fires and visited some neighbors. Checked the cam and had a few doe a small 6 pt and a good 7 pt. Put it back and got a picture of a bear in the distance. Looks to be a small one from last year? Could not down load to my computer so will have to wait to send pictures.

My neighbor was riding around on the property and went past the food plot. he said there were 3 doe bedded in it and three more deer on the fringe of the woods. We used no plow and it seems to be coming in real strong. Will try to down load some picts!
