Sunday a.m. I was in the stand for about 45 minutes. Heard some rustling of the leaves. Expecting a squirrel I looked over and saw a yearling. I slowly stood up and as i did I could see the momma. She put her head behind a nice sized tree slightly quatering away. At 22 yards I let it fly. The arrow went behind the rib cage hitting both lungs and the heart exiting via the neck. Upon examination post kill, I noticed that she was hit last year. The scar tissue was formed and it seemed to be an arrow the way that it looked. This old wound was just inferior to the spine right above the vitals, it clearly missed the vitals though.

Yea good luck all. Just picked her up from the butcher. $65 bucks, I don't consider it that bad when I don't have the time to do it, nor the equiptment. Quite a bit of meat on her. They did have to cut away from the old wound she suffered they said it had a puss pocket. Thats okay though I did not want to eat that part anyway.

kp my mom lives right next to a small deli that does processing and they are 65 as well. It was funny because Sunday morning I was processing mine in the shed while the owner was taking scraps out and he gave me a nasty look as in why aren't you paying me to do that for you. I don't trust my meat with anybody but myself

Yea I know where your coming from with that. At this point though with working full time and going to school and finding time to hunt in between I simply don't have the time. Also with the weather warming up I can't let her sit until I have the time.
