Guys, At my place this year we are seeing more rutting action later this season. Between Thanksgiving and Dec 5th we have seen many more scrapes and rubs on the property. My neighbor who lives up there said he has only seen a few chases in the fields and that has happened the last week. Just a thought but maybe the rut is just in full swing now? ?

Have heard of quite a few NY folks seeing the same. I haven't seen it myself yet. Activity peaked here last week of bow with many bucks seen chasing and tending does. Rubs and scrapes are all from earlier in the season and no new ones popping up. I've been out there every day keeping tabs on things but some are saying that the second rut is kicking in around their woods. Wouldn't mind seeing it here late bow/ML season next week.

Wooly, That would be cool if the timing is right. I am 90% sure I'll be up with the smoke pole!
