Shot one button buck on the opener and shot one doe on Friday.
Our crew killed 3 deer on Monday, two bucks and a doe. Bucks were both on a drive and doe was just sitting.
Lots and lots of deer. Saw more deer with not good shots. Saw one very nice buck hightalling it at 30 yards. Estimate 20 inches wide.
Rem 1100 has developed a problem with the forearm and is loosening the cap which inturn has messed up the scope. Net result that gun is done this season. I woulded a doe at 5 yards on a drive because of said problem, 3 miles into the tracking and she was still going.....

My crew.....Wait a minute I dont have a crew!!! LOL
Anyway, I harvested:
Bow: 1 - doe Bow: 1- 7 point Gun: 1- 9 point
Still have my 2 doe tags and one signed over from my son who works all the time.
Wish I saved my either sex tag for muzzleloader. Saw another nice buck sneaking around on Sunday.
Good luck

Bsj: Is the wood cracked on the 1100? I looked at mine and it seems the only way it could loosen is if the wood cracked or the magazine loosened from the reciever.. My scope mount craked so I put new one's on today and re sighted in .. was only off 2 inches right and 2 inches high after changing the mounts and aligning with the iron sights. Tweeked it right in with a couple shots.

We let numerous small bucks walk during bow season. The last Friday I hit one square in the shoulder at 35 yards. Knocked the deer off its feet but the arrow did not penetrate? found little blood- deer lied down for 20 min then got up and walked off. guess I hit bone. Was a nice tall 6pt. I took a half rack 8pt 2nd day of season, holding off on the doe tags for now. Not much shooting after 1st day. Weather was great!
