This is the last weekend of regular season here in the north. Then a week of muzzleloading. Hate to wish it away but looking forward to muzzleloading again so I will have a chance at one of the does I keep seeing

regular season has ended here, just got home. 13 degrees out and 15 mph northeast winds. Did not see a thing. I got a 6 point during early muzzleloading season and have been skunked since. No doe permits made it tougher. I did pass up a small buck that looked like he had milk still on his face and barely 3 inch antlers. Late muzzleloading begins here for a week starting tomorrow. A deer of either sex and I have 2 tags. Been in a place where there have been tons of does and hopefully fill one of them at least. Weather is looking nasty for tonight and tomorrow with a foot of snow predicted by Monday night. Cold as it has been it will be nice to bank the house up a bit. Good luck to all of you for the rest of the season. I may travel south for the weekend of the 14th to hunt southern tier muzzleloading.
