Was out for an hour and a half behind the house last night when it was starting to spit snow and out this morning for 2 hours during the snow. Not a flippin thing. Had about 3/4 inch on the ground. It was all gone by 11am. I am starting to think someone sprayed deer repellant back here!!

My Dad and I both hunted behind the house Wednesday morning and another zip. Did not even go out today.
I will be heading to my uncles camp tomorrow to hunt Friday afternoon and Saturday. They took 5 bucks and 3 doe off this prop opening weekend. Maybe a change of scenery will change my luck!
Fletch out! Good luck out there!

Well my uncle ended up being sick so he called Friday to cancel the trip to camp. Hunted the honey hole Friday, Tully all day Sat and half of Sunday and out back this am. Have not seen a deer! I did kick up 3 past my BIL Saturday. We had some snow so I got on some fresh tracks. He missed a shot as they went flyin by him.
Did get out Sunday with the fam and cut down a big ole xmas tree. 13 footer. Rather been draggin a deer!!

Well nothing good to report. Been out a lot. Saw a doe and 2 fawns Sat. but across on my neighbors posted side. Still not seeing anything. Our groups worst shotgun season ever! 1 small doe from my BIL opening day, the rest 0. Hope I can pull one off with the ML! Freezer is looking poor. Thank goodness the one I got a month and a half ago was a big one.

Well finished it out yesterday. And I must say a very poor shotgun and muzzleloader season. I hunted like 30 days of gun and saw 13 deer total and passed a fawn and a spike. No other good shot opportunities.
I made the call we were being not too bright hunting down in Tully with the low deer populations and last weekend started scouting/hunting a new area out west with higher populations.
I did kick up 3 to my BIL Saturday and he took a very small doewith the muzzleloader.
I overhunted my spot in bow and it was ruined for gun. I really need to work on some new spots. Public land is just getting worse around here. For bow it is ok but gun forgetabout it. Gun this year was not fun at all and that needs to change. We ended up with 3 small does and my nice bow buck.
I had the best bow season ever and the worst gun ever.
Hope you all have a wonderful holiday season!
